Natural stone shower?
What kind of drywall or table should be used when installing natural stone in the shower? What is the best way to natural stone in the shower? Im concerned about the humidity. Thank you.
You could use a cement-based backup as a Hardie Plank or Dur-rok. No drywall! Consult with your stone with regard to their recommendations on the installation. Most products come in real stone plates require an actual bed of mortar for the installation, reinforcements, etc. Some products of stone can "telegraph" a color of an adhesive mortar incompatible. Stone provider could even install for you. Finally, go to a provider of stone and to guide you and even show "their" slab. Many stone natural products, including granite, staining various soaps, gels, etc, and all require periodic maintenance sealant. An alternative would be Dupont Zodiaq has natural quartz embedded in a sealing surface. Looks great handling, little, or maybe a cultured marble. Good luck
