Wine Cork won't Unscrew?

I got a bottle of a tasty pinot grigio when I went out to the grocery earlier this week. I'll admit I started attempting to open it before remembering to remove the foil, but I've screwed up and done that before w/ no problematic effects. The cork kinda crumbled w/ where the corkscrew went b/c it's all soft and I can't get the corkscrew to go in at all, it just crumbles up the cork in that area. I know it's not the wine because it's a respected area winery. It could very well be the grocery store because the lesser Kroger in town. But I really just want to get the darn cork out. I've tried the banging it on something to see if the cork moves tactic, which didn't work. I've read you can just push the cork back in, but mine won't do that. Any help?

Your cork is not crumbling because it's soft, it's crumbling because it's dry.

This is because the shop has stored it upright, instead of on its side.

Best option is to clear off all the crumbs of cork and then push the cork in.

You may need to decant the wine into another container to remove all the bits of cork but the wine will still taste fine.

PS: Despite what Luke says a dry cork does NOT mean wine is spoiled ... Corked wine has nothing to do with having cork in it, it means that the cork had a fungal infection when the bottle was sealed, and that this has tainted the wine .... This can happen with a damp cork as well as a dry one

I can not seem to find a corkscrew in my house. "I can use as a knife or fork or something? I can not push the cork in the bottle, because that would be inexplicable to my mother.

How to insert a cork with a Screwpull "wine opener?

I got a "Screwpull" wine opener. It is supposed to remove and replace the cork. I know how to remove the cork, but do not know how to adjust to reinsert the cork. No instructions came with it, I'm not stupid! Also, the manufacturer is "Screwpull". I can not find a place for them.

With a simple Screwpull can not. With more complicated this is supposed to be possible without the make and model of any person to answer would guess

L How to keep my son from age 2.5 years to loosen the straps of the car seat?

My son should be Houdini reincarnated. He is only two and a half is about 3foot high but very thin. But it seems brilliant when it comes to things. But lately it is too bright to be sure. He can be strapped firmly in one of two Britax car seats and then we can be driving down the road to reach his arm down and lift the latch to loosen the straps and move their way out of them. I say no. When we have someone in the car sit in the back with him. But it is becoming unsafe conditions. Anyone know of a product or one of its own medicine. For this problem? Do not press the button on the buckle. Simply pull the lever between your legs up and then pushes the belt forward. and Put all loose. I tried to give the books toys etc. But the straps seems much more interesting ha.
