How will this recipe for blackberry jam? I have created myself. Will it succeed?
Modifying a recipe for blackberry jam? Blackberry Jam 2 quarts fresh blackberries 1 1 / 4 cup red wine 3 tablespoons lemon juice 6 cups sugar, minced chile pepper to taste Cook the berries with water until hot. Voltage to remove most of the seeds. Add wine and lemon juice, sugar and chile pepper. Cook rapidly to the point jellying, either by the road test or until it reaches 220 degrees (F) on candy thermometer. As mixture thickens, stirring to prevent burning. Pour hot into jars hot, adjust lids. Process 10 minutes in a boiling water bath. Start counting time when the water returns to boil. Remove jars and cool on water a grid. Makes four 12-ounce jars. Will it work? And by the way, what would be a good pepper to use? I would be sweet yet still relatively hot. The recommendations are very welcome. This question has been re-released just to get more opinions.
The only change I would make is due to the use Surgelés while participating in the kitchen is below. you not only cook the juice from the berries black, but also the wine liquid. I used to cook for making jellies method but when I finished with 4 children all under 6 years, I would do anything silly to get things done faster.
