I bought my last new Syrian hamster keeps biting the bars of his cage? Is this harmful to him? Is there anything we can do to stop him, you have a meter with a SPUTNIC peggy, house, toilet paper tubes, wood grass ball thing, and some food around scatterred / do I need to chew things like knawing woodenj articles /
No. Hey this is perfectly normal. Its just trying to erode his Hammy teeth a little. Try putting some undyed / untreated wood bits "or buy some chewing sticks. You can also get spray bitter apple spray or in bars and he does not like the taste so I could stop chewing. He just may be saying "Let me out!" So once hes tamed could use as a sign that he wants to come and play (My Hammy does this) His perfectly normal however. Lucii xD
